Fundamentals Friday
Today’s my favorite part of the week - Fundamentals Friday! This week I’ve been getting through Lanette Compton’s “Drop the Beat” Warm-Up, and man it’s a great part of my day! With Valentines Day coming around the corner you can’t help but play Beyoncé’s “Love On Top” as your warm down.
The goal of this exercise is to relax your embouchure as much as you can, and just let the air flow. Quivers in sound are totally ok because you’re continuing to build muscle in your face to make you stronger after playing high for longer periods of time! Be sure to check out the entire warm-up on Lanette’s website, it’s a great way to start your day!
Be on the lookout tomorrow for a new blog post going live on my website in the morning! Have a great start to your weekend!

New Projects Coming!
Saturday, July 18, 2020 - I've been getting back into the motivation of composing again. After many years of just composing one or two works a year, besides the twenty to fifty a year. I'm making the time again each day to do what I love most. Currently I have been working on a few projects, one being a sextet for a doubling woodwind quintet (Piccolo and Flute, Oboe and English horn, Clarinet and Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, and French horn) with piano. Though every projects has their beginning stages, I'm very impressed and intrigued with what is going on so far! Be sure to check back for updates on the sketches and drafts of my latest project!
